Spiritual Care

It can be difficult to sort through your thoughts and feelings around life and death. We want patients and loved ones to have the best experience possible, despite the presence of a life-changing illness. Many people find it helpful to talk through things with a nonjudgemental, confidential and compassionate spiritual care professional or volunteer. This isn’t about a particular faith or religion; it’s about quality companionship that provides a supportive outlet and some guidance on your journey. We are here for you. How Are We Funded

St. Joseph’s Hospice is blessed with the support of a caring community – but we need your help.

We must raise $1.3 million every year – $100,000 per month – $3,333 per day to continue providing compassionate care for our community.

100% of the care and support we provide is at no cost to patients, clients and their families.

Receiving only 50 percent of our operating funds from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, we rely on donations from our community to fund the remaining 50 percent. As the need for hospice palliative care continues to grow, we depend on the generosity of our community to invest in our programs and services.

With Every Gift, You Make Us Better

Each time you donate, attend a fundraising event or pledge a gift, you make certain St. Joseph’s Hospice continues to provide compassion, dignity, and respect for those we serve in our residence and in the community.
